Live by the Sun, Love by the Moon

There is a Goddess of the Moon, named Luna. Her sole celestial purpose is to guard the Moon and ensure it stays on track with its cycles and continues to guide the Earth's many cycles. She knows it's an important task and has always taken it very seriously, but after a few millennia, she grew lonely. She would catch glimpses of this brilliant light as she brought the moon's comforting beams to the other side of the planet she was created to protect. It wasn't until a fateful eclipse brought her close enough to the Sun to finally meet the creator of those brilliant beams.

Because of the eclipse she discovered what companionship was like. She quickly found herself forlorn when the celestial event was over and found herself anxiously awaiting the next. After much waiting, another fateful eclipse brought them together once again. Over the next few centuries the sun and the moon would wait for their paths to cross and make the most of their time together. The events never lasted long enough for them. They knew they were in love and didn't want to have to continue waiting for the next eclipse to be together.

Tired of waiting for the planets to align for them to be together, Luna went to elements, begging to be relieved of her post as Guardian of the Moon. She explained her yearning for the Sun and cried to them about the loneliness of being the sole being on the Moon. They sympathized with her plight but told her they couldn't just simply allow her to give it up. They asked her to give them one full cycle of the Moon while they tried to come up with a solution.

Luna left them full of hope and joy, determined to be forever united with her beloved Sun. This helped her get through the next 28 day cycle, even if she was anxious of what the elementals would come up with. Luna spent her nights guarding the Moon and guiding the Earth's cycles with her eyes to the opposite horizon, hoping for even just a glimpse of the Sun.

Finally, the cycle came to an end. She quickly made her way back to the elementals, desperate to know her fate.

Rey del Sol

Gemma's little one aged up. I was finally able to get them over to play with his cousin and have a little photo shoot in my new studio...
