Elemental Ruling

The Elements did not keep Luna waiting long. Earth was first to speak, "we will grant you your heart's desire." Luna could not wait for the rest. Instead she rushed forward to hug them all and was gushing with joy.

"Thank you, thank you all so much." Tears were rushing over her warmed cheeks.

Water held her hand up, "unfortunately my dear, we cannot just simply relinquish you of your duties." Luna caught her breath and stared at the elements with uncertainty.

Air was next to speak, "when we created you, you were given much power. We are going to send you to the Earth that you once protected. There you must create twelve female conduits representing the twelve zodiac signs in which we can distribute your power. With these twelve conduits we will be able maintain the lunar cycles and then you will be free to have your beloved Sun."

Luna was speechless. She spent her entire existence protecting the life forces far below her. Now she was expected to become one of them?! Her eyes narrowed with determination; any trials the elementals threw at her would be worth being forever united with her love without interruption.

Fire watched closely as Luna took in the information. He gave her some time before he finally spoke. "It is important to know that while you are on Earth, you will be mortal and will be starting out with minimal survival tools. You will be subject to illness, exhaustion, and even death. It will be up to you to provide for you and your conduits. Each conduit that you create will need to go through tests to prove their worth to us. Are you willing to accept these terms?" Without hesitation, despite a twinge of fear in her gut, Luna nodded her head. "Very well. So it will be done."

The four elementals formed a circle around Luna, said a chant, and then Luna was surrounded by a light brighter than the sun itself.

Rey del Sol

Gemma's little one aged up. I was finally able to get them over to play with his cousin and have a little photo shoot in my new studio...
